Who is Broadsay?
About the Project
When I first used the product, I saw a big gap between its promises and the actual experience, reflected in its low 2.6 app store rating. In the competitive media-tech field, a visually intuitive workspace is crucial. Our main goals were to create a fast, intuitive app focusing on team video content and leveraging AI for tagging and distribution.

Old Design
The Problems
The old design's home screen lacks a modern, collaborative feel, resembling a calendar
rather than a dynamic media platform.
Calendar-Like Home Screen:
The absence of live chat functionality inhibits real-time collaboration among team members.
Limited Team Communication:
Dependence on a third-party tool (WeVideo) for video editing introduces potential workflow
challenges and may impact efficiency.
External Video Editing (WeVideo):
The lack of support for video tagging diminishes the platform's ability to efficiently organize
and search for multimedia content.
No Support for Video Tagging:
The platform lacks designated areas for advertising content or sponsorship opportunities,
limiting monetization avenues.
Absence of Ad/Sponsorship Space:
Poor to mediocre reviews suggest user dissatisfaction with the platform's performance and features.
Negative User Reviews:

User Experience and Design:
Developing or integrating an in-house video editing solution to reduce dependence
on third-party tools like WeVideo and improve workflow efficiency.
In-House Video Editing:
Incorporating video tagging capabilities to facilitate better organization and search
functionality within the platform.
Enhanced Media Organization:
Creating designated spaces for advertising content and sponsorship to unlock additional
monetization avenues for users.
Monetization Opportunities:
Mind-map
Developing the mind map proved instrumental in bringing order to the crucial elements and features of the Broadsay app. It enabled us to prioritize and identify key components, distinguishing between those we aimed to develop immediately and those slated for later integration. This visual representation served as a strategic tool in our planning process, ensuring a balanced and phased approach to feature implementation.

User task flow
Research and Wireframing
Guided by our Product Director, we conducted 18 insightful '1-on-1' interviews and distributed dozens of surveys to capture both qualitative and quantitative data on user satisfaction, feature preferences, and usage patterns for our collaborative media platform.
Simultaneously, a thorough analysis of competitors in this space allowed us to identify strengths, weaknesses, and unique features, aligning our understanding with market expectations.
I took the lead in transforming this wealth of data into actionable insights. I crafted wireframes ensuring that user-centric design principles were at the forefront of our product development.
Brand Guideline
Broadsay's brand design guidelines, meticulously curated for a modern, user-centric experience. The palette, font, and icon selection reflect professionalism and coherence. Text sizes are optimized, ensuring a seamless user journey. These guidelines encapsulate our commitment to a visually compelling, cohesive, and user-friendly identity across the Broadsay platform.
